Artist Statement

My work has grown from a continual search for connection. I have explored the cities and people around me, encountering my inherited culture and communities. Whether it is with each other, or in nature, I observe and explore the power of relationships and people’s need for intimacy, communion and kinship.


Originally from Germany, I was raised in Orlando, Florida and have lived in London, England; Brooklyn, NY and Woodstock, NY until recently relocating to North Carolina.

I earned a degree in photography at Daytona State College and art history at the City University of New York. I am currently an MFA in Photography candidate at Savannah College of Art and Design.

In addition to continuing my personal artistic practice, I teach photography and have worked for a number of commercial photographers and fine artists with clients including those listed below:
